An integration's existence does not tell a buyer which records move, which system owns them, or how failures are repaired. Jobber, Housecall Pro, FieldPulse, and Service Fusion should be evaluated against the buyer's current QuickBooks Online workflow using dated vendor documentation. No sync was tested for this page.

Operational constraint: two systems can both look authoritative

A service company may create customers and jobs in the field system while accounting maintains items, tax mappings, invoices, payments, credits, and financial close. If staff edit the same fact in both places, a successful sync can still produce duplicates or overwrite the intended source.

Create an ownership matrix for customer, billing contact, service address, item, description, quantity, discount, tax field, invoice number, payment, refund, credit, and deletion. For every field, record creation system, permitted editor, sync direction, timing, identifier, and reconciliation owner. Jobber, Housecall Pro, FieldPulse, and Service Fusion remain hypotheses until their current connectors match that map.

Reproducible mini-check

Use synthetic records in approved test environments. Create a customer with separate service and billing addresses, issue an invoice with several item types, record a partial payment, correct the address, create a credit, and intentionally supply one invalid mapping. Observe queues, duplicate prevention, error messages, retry behavior, and identifiers in both systems.

Reconcile record counts and financial totals, then export the error log. Repeat with identical facts for each finalist. This is a buyer test plan; it has not been executed here.

Exception: the connector is unavailable

Suppose technicians keep completing work while synchronization fails. Ask which system accepts new activity, how pending records are visible, whether edits conflict after recovery, and who prevents duplicate invoices or payments. Define a controlled manual fallback and the evidence required before normal processing resumes.

Do not accept “automatic sync” as a recovery explanation. Require current documentation for limitations, supported objects, timing, and support ownership.

Conclusion: reconcile, do not merely connect

Choose the shortlisted product whose integration respects the written ownership matrix and exposes failures to an accountable person. The final acceptance evidence should include a corrected error, balanced totals, readable identifiers, and an export. Connectivity creates value only when the business can explain what moved, what did not, and how the books were reconciled.
